Magic attraction will amaze wizards
14/07/2007
A TEMPORARY tourist attraction near Burton reopened for the summer today - and will leave Harry Potter fans smiling with delight.
The National Forest Maize Maze, at Postern House Farm, in Tatenhill, has been given an overhaul courtesy of world record-holding maze designer Adrian Fisher.
When viewed from above, this year's maze resembles a phoenix rising from the flames - just like headteacher Dumbledore's bird in the Harry Potter series.
Visitors will be enrolled into the very first Academy for Wizardry and Witchcraft in the Midlands, and will be set challenges by the head of the department for sorcery.
Maze bosses are challenging all wannabe wizards and witches to use their magical powers and find a way out alive.
Fans of the hit BBC show The Apprentice will not miss out either - entrants who do not make the grade will be 'fired' by someone who pays more than a passing resemblance to entrepreneur Alan Sugar.
People who complete the tasks will win the coveted title of The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
